Rebuilding My Website: A Work in Progress

Cover Image for Rebuilding My Website: A Work in Progress

Sometime last year, the local setup of my previous website stopped working. I spent a bit of time trying to get it up and running again, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth the effort because the framework I used for that stack no longer seems to be under maintenance.

After some research, I decided to try out Next.js, which can be easily deployed to Vercel.

I migrated my blog posts over and started to contemplate about how to organize and style the entire page. However, since I only had an hour here and there after work to dedicate to this, the rebuilding process moved along very slowly.

This led me to the decision to just put the page out there, almost unstyled, with the minimum content I already had (even though some of it is a bit broken) and improve on it iteratively and share the progress publicly. After all, my personal website is mostly a playground for me to try out new technologies and learn new things.

The repository will be made public once I finish updating the README and the license details.

PS: The cover image of this post was generated with DALL-E. It had the hardest time generating the neon sign without any typos... I guess the bots aren't quite ready to take over my job just yet.
